Rush on Dirt Press Release

The Rush On Dirt series moves to Crown Point Speedway this coming Sunday, April 21st.  Crown Point promises to test the metal of these highly talented drivers unlike any track they've visited to date.  Not only will a fast car down the short sweeping straight-aways be beneficial, but also a driver wth loads of patience. One that will allow the track to come to him rather than attack it himself.  The lightning quick 1/3-mile semi-banked clay oval is sure to be packed with excitement in this next to last series showdown.

Race Recap

RULES OF LEAGUE PLAY
===================================================================
1. This league is for Rush On Dirt League Racers ONLY! This WILL be enforced!  We will be using
DIRT Modified version 2 project created by Chris Papa of FireOnDirt.com.  Make sure you have this download installed prior to racing.  You can also send in your own personal skins to be added to the carset.
2. All drivers entered are allowed to drive in the Late Model and/or either modified division.
3.  All drivers will be required to race with the mirror "on".  If you see a car behind you do not attempt to block them. You are to continue driving your line.  If you know you are 10 out of 10 or that you are in last place in the race then you must give way to the passing cars. Use you computer speakers to identify where the cars around you are  located.  Also watch your display to indicate how many seconds you're behind the race leader.
4. The days of throwing a "slide job" are over.  These are not real cars.  Our ability to see around are greatly incapacitated.  I for one do not like being blindsided by something I never saw.  Pick your passing lines carefully, if a driver comes down on you that is an accident, if you hammer them while passing, that is unacceptable.
5. ROUGH OR INATTENTIVE DRIVING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED PERIOD!!!
6. CONDUCT- In the Chat rooms (Racing or Site) you are expected to conduct yourself in a very professional manner.  Ribbing other drivers is fine and expected. Meanwhile any attempt to intimidate, or downgrade another driver will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
7. The use of obscene language in either Chat room or Race room is unacceptable under any circumstances.  Do not use any abbreviated words or outright cursing!
8. If you get knocked out of a race you are expected to contact the League administrator to voice your concerns.  Do not take your argument to the other drivers as they cannot address the problem(s).
9. DRIVING- New as well as old drivers are expected to maintain a consistent racing line at all times. You must refrain from "wild" or uncontrolled driving.
10. We were all new at one time and are all willing to help each other with setups, driving lines, and anything else a driver is willing to ask for.  But you have to ask to receive help.
11. As stated above any gripes moans or complaints must be handled through the League Administrators. Repeated violations of the rules as set forth can and will result in a loss of POINTS, SUSPENSION, OR EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE!!!!.  WE ARE ALL HERE TO HAVE FUN SO LETS GET DIRTY.
12. ANYONE caught cheating by editing track files, allowing the offender to run much faster than the field, will be subject to sever public humiliation.  I do write for major publications and let's not even try to test the waters on this one.  If suspected I will ask you to send me your data files for examination.  Don't be the first one I pull into the tech garage.

IMPORTANT:  QUALIFYING PROCEDURE

Qualifying in both classes will take place prior to the scheduled race events.  All cars are to enter race servers, IP addresses 12.247.78.203 & 65.30.97.34.  When game starts all cars will form into single file line and proceed around track and enter infield on backstretch side or where there is an opening.  Proceed to inside of turn 4 area and wait.  One at a time, we will run 3 laps of qualifying (the first lap is a warm-up lap).  When the first driver passes through the turn four area and crosses finish line to complete his qualifying attempt, the next driver in line takes off to run his 3 laps, and so on down the line.  When you complete your qualifying run, enter back into the infield area quickly and sit parked facing the start finish line well away from the track.  DO NOT DO DONUTS OR ANYTHING DISTRACTING TO THE PERSON WHO IS ON THE TRACK!!!  This is grounds for dismissal!!!  League officials will be the last to qualify and run 4 laps, the final being well off the pace, so as not to unfairly get an extra lap of qualifying.  I think you will all enjoy this method of qualifying as it really adds to te realism of real life qualifying, and you will feel the pressure real-life racers do when qualifying.
